Digital Human Corporation, Ltd. is an AI startup founded in April 2025 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Its flagship product, KAi, is a wellbeing companion powered by persistent memory. Unlike conventional chatbots that reset with every session, KAi retains meaningful context across conversations, building a growing understanding of each user over time.
KAi is designed to support users through self-reflection, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. It operates as a Progressive Web App, requiring no download and no app store. The underlying technology is cloud-native from inception: built entirely on Cloudflare's global serverless platform, it scales from 1 user to 1 billion with zero infrastructure investment. The LLM layer is provider-agnostic: currently Google Vertex AI (Gemini), giving DHC the flexibility to adopt better models as the market evolves.
Digital Human Corporation has received formal government recognition as a TOP 20 finalist in the Korea Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC), a NIPA-backed program that received applications from 30,000+ startups across 140+ countries. Founder Carlos KiK is the first-ever recipient of the Korea Startup Special Visa (D-8-4S), a government initiative designed to attract exceptional foreign tech talent.
The company operates without outside investors, ensuring product decisions remain aligned with user wellbeing rather than investor metrics. KAi is currently in closed beta.
